Clary Sage College is excited to announce that they will be diversifying their programs within the Creative Arts Industry. Clary Sage College applied for initial accreditation through the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools and on December 17th received the news that there were zero citations found. Clary Sage College and its two sister schools, Oklahoma Technical College and Community Care College, were awarded the maximum four years accreditation until renewal. The maximum number years of accreditation is an honor and privilege not bestowed among many schools. Through ACICS, Clary Sage College will be able to continue diversifying its program offerings in the Creative Arts fields and offer more in advanced degrees.
According to the website of ACICS, the organization was founded in 1912, and is one of the most respected and longest established national accreditor of academic institutions in the United States. It is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The scope of ACICS recognition by the Secretary of Education is defined as accreditation of private postsecondary institutions offering certificates or diplomas, and postsecondary institutions offering associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degrees in programs designed to educate students for professional, technical, or occupational careers, including those that offer those programs via distance education. ACICS currently accredits more than 680 institutions throughout the United States and more than a dozen foreign countries enrolling approximately 650,000 students. ACICS is a not for profit organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia with offices maintained in the District of Columbia.
“We are very pleased about the results of the ACICS visit to Clary Sage. The fact we received zero citations is indicative of the fact that we truly adhere to the CARES philosophy in everything we do which equates to overall success,” remarked Dr. Kirk in an email to all company employees. This CARES philosophy (Courtesy, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Success) is seen in all aspects of the CSC’s education and client services, one of the many reasons the cosmetology college received such high accolades from their accreditation team.
