Members of Youth Services’ Girls Group at Franklin Youth Academy were treated to a day of beauty in December, courtesy of Clary Sage.
The Girls Group aims to improve the self-esteem of middle-school students at the alternative school. Clary Sage, a cosmetology school in Tulsa, volunteered time, supplies, and the space for 20 girls to enjoy manicures, hair cuts and color, waxing, pedicures, and a few hours of relaxation. The goal of
the project was to enhance their self-images and give them a day of fun.
“In the group, the girls have examined and gained tools for being beautiful on the inside and out,” said Christy
Hoppe, Youth Services counselor and leader of Girls Group. “The trip to Clary Sage helped them in learning tools to enhance their outward beauty in an age-appropriate way.”
Clary Sage’s generosity brought smiles and confidence to a group of girls who needed it. Thank you for spreading the holiday cheer!
